At last it is Spring here, the birds are going mad and the blossom is blossoming away. Soon the village will be celebrating Queenie’s birthday, there are going to be picnics on the green and the WI will be baking cakes and singing patriotic songs. I expect to be eating cake, but NOT singing songs. It is still not warm enough for me to go out without coat and scarf.{I can manage without the gloves and hat} On the positive side, I do like this time of year, especially when the hawthorn is flowering in the hedges. However our Landlord the Duke of Northumberland , cuts the hedges too much, so all the hawthorn flowers are cut off. However, nothing is ever perfect! But today the birds sing and the sea is blue so perfection is almost here!.
